Dogbone Mounts
Ok, this one is pretty easy to do. This picture shows the aftermarket mount already in. However, the stock mount is in the same position and looks like this. Before removing the top mount, you should support the engine with a jack placed under the oil pan. I was unable to get a picture of this placement, but the oil pan is easily identifiable if you look under the car from the passenger side behind the wheel. You will see a square-ish looking box that is between you and the flex pipe of the exhaust system. Put a jack under the box and jack it up until the jack is just contacting the oil pan, to support it when the top mount is taken out. Some people put a piece of wood between the jack and the oil pan to distribute the stress a bit. You will most likely have to remove your intake piping to get at the top mount. For directions on how to do this, see the intake page. Now, remove the two bolts holding in the stock mount. One is 15mm and one is 13mm. They may be stuck on REALLY FUCKING HARD, especially the larger one. For those of us who go to the gym, just keep pushing. For those who don't, get a long lever. Then, just pull it off, slide the new mount in, and bolt it back up. Bayam! Don't forget to put the intake back on!!

Now for the fun part: the lower mount. First, you have to take the wheel off the passenger side. Loosen the lug nuts with the car on the ground. Then, jack the car up by placing the jack under the frame of the car and raise it up. This is the proper position for the frame jack. Now, loosen the lugnuts all the way and pull the wheel off.

Next, you must remove the plastic guards in the wheel well. To remove the left guard, as shown in the picture, you have to pry out a rivet that attaches it to the car body. The rivet is pretty much located under the hand in the picture. Use a screwdriver like with the intake resonator. Then, just wiggle it out. To remove the right guard, remove a similar rivet located near the bottom left of the plastic piece, kind of behind the big horizontal bolt in the picture. After that, my hands were so nasty I couldn't take any more pics. However, the removal and replacement of the bottom mount is the same as the top. Just unbolt the old and bolt in the new. The lower mount is located directly behind the right guard. You'll see it. Both bolts on my bottom mount were 13mm, though. Also, we had to use a jackstand under the car frame to hold it in place while we jacked the engine up by the oil pan again to get the lower mount out. It's in a tight place, but play with it and it'll come out. After the new mount is tightened up, replace the platic shielding, rivets, and wheel. Let the car down and fully tighten the lugnuts. You are ready to rock out hardcore all day and all muhfuckin night, boyeeeeee!!!
